NEW: May is Better Hearing and Speech Month!

Please join us in recognizing the incredible work of Carroll ISD’s Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologist during Better Hearing and Speech Month. These specialists play a vital role in helping our students develop essential communication skills that support academic success and personal growth. We are proud to recognize our amazing team of SLPs: Cindy Weathers, Morgan Stahlheber, Macy McCready, Ginger Wolfe, Sara Compton, Megan Clark, Ann LaBarge, Melissa Perales, Lara Ely, Jennifer Anderson, and Laura Eisengrein.

We also celebrate our district Audiologist, Meriden Overall, who supports students across all campuses.

Thank you to this outstanding team for supporting our Dragons through early intervention, speech-language therapy, evaluations, and hearing services across the district.

    Important Message from CISD Technology

Dragon Families - A phishing email was recently sent to a number of students regarding a fake “job opportunity” for students. Students K-8 are not able to receive emails from outside the district; however, the attackers used a staff member’s email address to send the email. The compromised staff account has been disabled. The email was removed from student inboxes, and the links have been blocked.

This event gives us all an opportunity to have a conversation with our student/s about identifying phishing emails, not clicking on links in emails if they do not know the sender, and never providing personal or confidential information to unconfirmed email senders. Thanks for your help!

May Good & Green - Watch Now

We’re going for gold—on and off the track. In this powerful episode of Good & Green, Jeff Brady takes us to the 6th Annual Dragon Dash at Carroll Middle School, where over 380 Special Olympics athletes, ages 8 to 22, competed with heart, strength, and integrity. Hosted by Carroll ISD Special Olympics, the event featured 11 delegations from across North Texas and reminded us that true victory comes not from medals—but from courage, character, and community.

We’re also proud to share that Carroll ISD Special Olympics is now supported by the Carroll Athletic Booster Club (CABC)—a huge win for belonging and opportunity in Dragon Nation. CLICK HERE to donate directly!

NEW: Dragon Youth / SWC Summer Wrestling Registration - Now Open

Priority Enrollment: First opportunities to enroll at Walnut Grove will go to:

    • Current Pre-K 3 students living in the WGES or JES attendance zones, and
    • Students accepted during March enrollment who live in the WGES or JES zones.

Waitlist Enrollment: Once those priority groups are placed, spots will be offered to students on the Pre-K 4 waitlist. Placement will be based on the time and date of application, as well as each student’s priority status. These openings may be at OUES, RES, CES, or WGES, depending on availability.

Next Steps: The CISD prekindergarten specialist will contact all families who:

    • Live in the WGES or JES attendance zones, and
