Mrs. Amy Skrovan

My name is Mrs. Amy Skrovan and I am very excited to be joining Carroll Senior High as the new librarian.  I have served the students and staff of Dawson Middle School for the past seven years and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and build relationships with new students and staff.  My background is originally in elementary education.  I received my undergrad degree from the University of North Texas.  My experience teaching was in second grade and fifth grade.  I had the wonderful opportunity to teach pre-k part-time and be home with my kids for 11 years.  During that time, I pursued a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas.  I am passionate about literature and reading and love connecting with kids through books.  I also served as the student council sponsor at Dawson Middle School for 5 years and I am very excited to partner with Mrs. Lindsey Jacobson and co-sponsor student council at the senior high.  I believe as educators we are in a beautiful partnership with your child and I am here to help in any way that I can.  I am so proud to be a part of Dragon Nation where we strive to #InspireExcellence.  It is going to be a great school year.
