Each type of enrollment requires different documents. Please view the Frequently Asked Questions page under "What are the required documents to prove residency?" to learn exactly what documents you will need to provide.

City of Southlake/Town of Westlake Open Enrollment: Open enrollment is available for Southlake/Westlake residents and Southlake First Responders (Police, Fire, EMT) only. Transportation is not provided to students who live in the Open Enrollment zone and choose to go to school in Carroll ISD.  Please use the "Transfer" tab below to be directed to the Transfer Application.

• Students who are 3 years old as of September 1st of the school year
• Students who are 4 years old as of September 1st of the school year

That ARE:

• Students of CISD Employees 
• Students -zoned to CISD 
• City of Southlake First Responders *Additional Student Transfer Application must be submitted on the Enrollment Dashboard (CISD website)
• Students that live in Southlake, but zoned to Keller ISD *Additional Student Transfer Application must be submitted on the Enrollment Dashboard (CISD website)
• Students that live in Westlake *Additional Student Transfer Application must be submitted on the Enrollment Dashboard (CISD website)
• Students- Grandparent In-Resident *Additional Student Transfer Application must be submitted on the Enrollment Dashboard (CISD website)

Additional Residency Details: In order to enroll in the pre-kindergarten program, families are required to submit documentation confirming their current residency within Southlake or in a residence zoned to CISD. For those in the process of purchasing, constructing, or leasing a property, enrollment in the pre-kindergarten program will be considered upon relocation to the designated residence, supported by utility bills and either a deed or lease agreement.

Carroll ISD offers High-Quality Prekindergarten with the addition to three High-Quality Prekindergarten co-teach classrooms. Prekindergarten co-teach  serves three types of early education learners in an inclusive environment with a general education prek teacher,  prek special education teacher and a paraprofessional. The benefit of a co-teach classroom is the increased opportunities for individualized instruction. With two teachers in the classroom, students can receive more individualized attention and support. 

• Students who are eligible for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) formerly PPCD
• Students who are meet state Eligible requirements for free public school Prekindergarten 
• Tuition-Based Students (based on space availability) 

The Prekindergarten program is currently provided at three elementary campuses: Carroll Elementary, Rockenbaugh Elementary, and Old Union Elementary.
